REACHING THE HOMELESS:

. There are many people who reject this glorious gospel because they are too busy or they put other things/people over God or don't think they need him and this makes Jesus very upset.
.
.
Here is a scripture in Matthew 22 which expresses his feelings:
.
1) And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:
2) “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,
3) and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.
4) Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding."
5) But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.
6) And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.
7) But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8) Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
.
.
9) Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’
10) So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good.
.
Homeless people need Jesus just as much (if not more) as anyone else. Some of these people have been abused physically, sexually or emotionally and left home as young people to live a life of homelessness and only know to take drugs/alcohol, or are given to prostitution to survive. They are crying out asking "is this all there is to life?" There are many of them who die of drug overdoses, beatings or even the elements. These people have a very hard life and know all about rejection. Some of them are so desperate that they commit suicide.
. I can relate to them somewhat as I was in a situation where I had to live in a homeless shelter for 4 months. I was only working temporary jobs which caused me to struggle financially; therefore, I didn't have enough money for rent. Through this experience, I came to realize that these people have a story to tell as to what brought them to their present circumstances.
We need to understand what puts people in their situations they are in so that we will have more compassion for them. .
I know that Jesus can heal all those hurts!!! He is in the healing business. Is not God called the "Balm of Gilead?". . .
.
Some times I feel discouraged,
And think my work’s in vain,
But then the Holy Spirit
Revives my soul again.
.
There is a balm in Gilead
To make the wounded whole;
There is a balm in Gilead
To heal the sin sick soul. .
If you can’t preach like Peter,
If you can’t pray like Paul,
Just tell the love of Jesus,
And say He died for all.
.
These people have the same desires as you and I. They want to know what love is all about. They are not materialistic as many other people are, some of them know nothing about God and others have had terrible experiences re religion. We need to desperately reach them with the truth and show them the love of God!!!
.
Jesus, who was homeless himself, rubbed shoulders with the publicans and sinners all the time, taught us to show his love and help the poor, sick, widows and fatherless.
.
Paul said that we need to get to a level that they will feel comfortable with us.
.
19) For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
20) and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law (he spoke the things that they were familiar with);
21) to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;
22) to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men that I might by all means save some.
.
I believe if we are wise as serpents, but as tame as doves, we can win people that live on the streets to God. Just as my lady friend, many of them are ripe and ready to harvest. We don't need to look in unsafe environments but, we can ask God to direct them our way and keep our spiritual eyes open for them as we are going about doing things. Some examples are when walking in a park, as they pass your way with or without a shopping cart of bottles, in food banks, etc, We could also go to homeless shelters [with someone or a group accompanying you]; or doors can open through someone coming to church that is from the homeless community. I am sure that you know of other places to reach them. We need to ask Gods anointing and direction re reaching these people.
.
.
Below is 2 excellent recordings that I listened to on Focus on the Family which really made me think about ministering to homeless people..

Mike Yankoski and a friend experienced first hand what it was like living on the streets and wrote the below book. Although I have not seen this book yet, I thought it would give some good pointers on ministering to the homeless.

UNDER THE OVERPASS

A Journey of Faith on the streets of America

by Mike Yankoski

We don't need to go to other countries as missionaries. Our missions are in our own cities/towns. There are people crying out for God every day. It is so important that we are lights to these people who may be in their darkest hours. Preach to me God!!!

May we be lanterns to their paths that will eventually lead them to the Glorious light - JESUS CHRIST through the good news of the Death (repentance), Burial (Baptism) and Resurrection (Newness of Life). May we be a strength to those who are weak and also bless them as God has blessed us with his love and healing.

KEEP KIDS SAFE ON SOCIAL NETWORKS: Link to 50Plus.com

. YOUR EYES ARE THE WINDOWS TO YOUR SOUL . . . . In this era we are dealing not only with television & radio, but the Internet, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, etc ; therefore, we need to be careful about what we and our children watch & listen to as they can drag us down spiritually and emotionally now and in the future. These things can imprint our minds for years to come and can affect our future well being. King David (A man after Gods own heart) said: . Psalm 101:2-4 (NKJV) . (2) I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. (3) I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me. (4) A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. . Here's an interesting article in Los Angeles Times: . http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://blog.bioethics.net/child-watching-television-silhouette.jpg&imgrefurl=http://blog.bioethics.net/2009/02/&usg=__OmPtEOmhtBnq7um7ExFLHs9E1_E=&h=359&w=468&sz=34&hl=en&start=12&sig2=MLDqYfRlur_F7KI3fVT9qA&um=1&tbnid=qhn-vZRzsX1wqM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=128&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpicture%2Bof%2Btelevision%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7GGLG_en%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1&ei=wNOKStM3ktqxA6qV1dEN . Let me become more conscientious about what I am focusing on!! .

8 Ways to Protect Teens While
Texting, Tweeting and Tagging. by Cynthia Ross Cravit, 50Plus.com
. . More from 50Plus.com: Career-damaging online mistakes Work-at-home scams .
Online social networks like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are an increasingly popular way for teens to share photos and chat with friends. But these virtual gathering places also pose some real risks, from cyber bullies and sexual predators to computer viruses and scammers. (Yes, even tech savvy teens can get scammed online: Here's how.) . While many of our younger family members can outsmart us when it comes to computers and the internet, it doesn't mean they're immune to danger (or hurtful behavior) online. Here are Consumer Report's top tips to help the teens and tweens in your life stay safe while they're texting, tweeting and tagging.
. .
8 Tips to Play Safe Online .
Stay involved. Teens tend to engage in less risk-taking behavior when their parents show an interest in their online lives. While most teens aren't always enthusiastic, at least initially, about parents or grandparents monitoring their accounts, many will open up if you show a positive attitude and genuine interest. .
Take age restrictions seriously. The minimum age for most social sites is 13, but as with other online activities, it's up to parents to monitor their child's behaviour. If a kid lies about his or her age, the website can't keep them from signing up.
.
Explain (and check) privacy options. Generally speaking, if you use the proper settings, the only people who can see what your teen has posted are the people she has decided to become "friends" with or to "follow". But the privacy policies of social websites can often be filled with complicated legal terms, and more importantly, can change without notice. Be sure to read the terms carefully and to check periodically for any updates.
.
Warn that quizzes aren't just for fun. Those quizzes and contests that ask for your preferences on everything from pizza and music to personality types aren't always just for fun – but are a way to solicit personal-interest and contact information for advertisers. Also, be on the lookout for games -- in particular those that ask for a cell phone number -- that lead to unexpected recurring monthly charges for services buried in the fine print.
.
Make sure your kids are careful when accepting new "friends". A good starting place is to have them link only to friends they personally know and trust in the real world. And then, as your teenager matures in both age and online judgment, allow them to expand their 'friends' to include acquaintances -- people they know exist in the real world because they have met them or a trusted friend knows them.
. Explain when to take things offline. You know how unproductive 'email wars' can be at the office? Similarly, fights between teenagers often become nastier and more hurtful when they go online via texting, emailing or social networking sites. If your teen receives hurtful messages, he should tell the person to stop, and if necessary, block the person from communicating via the social site until the disagreement can be resolved offline. .
Teach your teen to guard her reputation. If someone posts something damaging about her on a social site, she should tell the person to remove it. If the situation escalates, she should tell you about it -- and if the damaging remarks are not removed, help her to file a complaint with the site. .
Explain that online means "forever." Teens need to understand that anything they post to their profiles (or even send to just one person) can easily become public – and alas, permanent. If a photo or post is embarrassing or demonstrates that they make bad choices, this material can damage their reputation, relationships and opportunities. .
The bottom line? When teens use privacy settings, and are careful about the material they post and the people they link to, social networking sites can be fairly safe. .

. A PRAYER. . .
.
Dear Jesus,
.
Help us as a people to get our minds on things that will benefit us now and forever. Shield our minds and eyes from things that can harm us. Give us wisdom/direction to protect us from them. We are mere human beings and as you call us, sheep that needs a shephard. Be that shephard in our lives.
.
In JESUS name... AMEN

WOW, LOOK AT THIS:

MY CREPE RECIPE: Link to How Crepes Came to Be with Recipe

.
.
For me, crepes are just milked down pancakes with no leavening with an extra egg. Here is how I make them:
.
Ingredients:
.
1 cup of flour (white or brown)
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp brown sugar or none for unsweetened
1 tbsp oil
2 cups of milk
2 eggs
.
Put out a bun plate. Preheat 6 inch Teflon pan or cast iron at med high. (I prefer cast iron)
.
In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients then put a hole in the middle and break the eggs in. Stir the eggs until they are well mixed avoiding the flour mixture. Stir in the oil to eggs, then add milk in portions stirring the wet ingredients with the dry. I prefer using one of those whippers or a mixer. When everything is combined and there is no lumps, add a tiny bit of butter/margarine to the pan so it just coats it. Then pour about a quarter cup of batter in the pan and tilt it until the bottom is coated VERY thinly with batter (if it doesn't spread very well, stir into batter a TINY bit more milk). When the batter has just dried on top after spreading into the pan, flip it and cook for for maybe 5-6 seconds. Put on plate and pour some more (melt butter on pan as needed) . When the batter is completely used up, you can serve approx. 4 people - each individual 4 - 5 rolled up crepes.
.
Pour sauce/pie filling on top. (For some exellent sauces, check the ones I mentioned for my pancakes in Aprils post.)
.
Try my own idea: MEXICAN CREPES
.
Pour on a big spoon of Chilli-Con-Carne and a bunch of shredded cheddar/marble cheese on top.
.
Enjoy
.
Check these recipe sites:
.
.
Crepes (and pancakes) can be made up to a month before they are needed. Cook them, stack them – layering them with wax or parchment paper, put them in a freezer bag and freeze. Pull them out of the freezer, let the crepes thaw until they are soft, then they are ready to roll!
.
The filling choices are only restricted by your imagination. Crepes can be for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, and they can be made with either sweet or savory, hot or cold fillings. Use them anytime as they are very versatile!
.
***Heat frozen pancakes (if they aren't to big) in the toaster.

IS SATAN LIKE A WASP: Link to Homemade Wasp Traps

When I am enjoying a great steak dinner cooked on the barbeque along comes a wasp to spoil my nice meal. Now I can sit there and let it continue to bother me, go into the house to eat or try to kill it and take a chance of getting stung and loose my appetite to eat.
.
Well I suppose I could relate to this spiritually being in the santuary listening to a wholesome message. You could look at it as a steak (his word) cooked on the grill (Holyghost annointing) by Jesus (our provider/father) and served by the pastor to the kids (us) and our friends (visitors).
.
Satan can pester us just as the wasp with a distraction or maybe someone in the wrong spirit next to you at church/on the way home from church where you do not get all the benefits of that meal because you are frustrated and have no appetite to eat the meal.
.
You can end up losing the victory you could have received because of letting it drag you down or you could determine in your heart to avoid that person/situation; therefore, finishing eating the awesome spiritual meal you were chomping on. Maybe if you hung around after the service you'd get desert also (a spiritual/physical blessing).
.
So if you are in church and someone or something is hindering you from receiving what is being preached, maybe you could go sit somewhere else to be fed completely and and not loose what God had for you.
.
Along with the above link, here is another one that gives a little more info re killing wasps: http://www.essortment.com/home/homemadepaperw_sety.htm

AMERICA VERSES CANADA hA hA hA

.

This is sooooo true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
. A photographer on vacation was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read '$10,000 per call'. The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. The American thanked the priest and went along his way.
. Next stop was in Atlanta. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it. He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Orlando and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God. 'O.K., thank you,' said the American. . He then traveled to Indianapolis, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York. In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same '$10,000 per call' sign under it. The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel up to Canada to see if Canadians had the same phone. . He arrived in Canada, and again, in the first church he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read '50 cents per call.' The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. 'Father, I've traveled all over America and I've seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to heaven, but in the US the price was$10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?' . The priest smiled and answered, 'You're in CANADA now, son... it's a LOCAL call.'
I have heard it said over our pulpit that when you come to Canada, you are coming to GODS country.

EAGLES IN A STORM

.
This awesome post was from Kathryns blog. I thought it was a very good article about how we need to rise above our storms.. The picture is beautiful isn't it?
. .
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?
The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.
When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm.
While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
The eagle does not escape the storm.
It simply uses the storm to lift it higher.
It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God.
The storms do not have to overcome us.
We can allow God's power to lift us above them.
God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives.
We can soar above the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILIES FOLKS!!!: Link to blog"The Heart of a Mom"

.
Our Godly convictions are being put to the test more and more. In my city Calgary, we have a gay parade every fathers day. This article was on our sister's blog Re gays/lesbians, Baraka Obama made this proclamation:
.
YOU'VE GOT YOUR CHANGE

Well folks, I've kept my mouth shut long enough. Eight months, in fact. If you do not like political comments, this is not for you. . As has been predicted by many (myself included) the deterioration of the family unit and decay of morality is now on a very rapid downward spiral, thanks to Barack Obama. I can now expect that my children will face persecution unlike anything I could ever imagine. The effects of his presidency will be felt across the world, and especially in my bordering country. Those of you who wanted change, you now get your wish. It does not take a rocket scientist to realize the implications of this press release: . THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary _________________________________________________________ .

For Immediate Release
. June 1, 2009
. LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE MONTH, 2009- - - - - - -BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PROCLAMATION
.
Forty years ago, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City resisted police harassment that had become all too common for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Out of this resistance, the LGBT rights movement in America was born. During LGBT Pride Month, we commemorate the events of June 1969 and commit to achieving equal justice under law for LGBT Americans.
.
LGBT Americans have made, and continue to make, great and lasting contributions that continue to strengthen the fabric of American society. There are many well-respected LGBT leaders in all professional fields, including the arts and business communities. LGBT Americans also mobilized the Nation to respond to the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic and have played a vital role in broadening this country's response to the HIV pandemic.
.
Due in no small part to the determination and dedication of the LGBT rights movement, more LGBT Americans are living their lives openly today than ever before. I am proud to be the first President to appoint openly LGBT candidates to Senate-confirmed positions in the first 100 days of an Administration. These individuals embody the best qualities we seek in public servants, and across my Administration -- in both the White House and the Federal agencies -- openly LGBT employees are doing their jobs with distinction and professionalism. .
The LGBT rights movement has achieved great progress, but there is more work to be done. LGBT youth should feel safe to learn without the fear of harassment, and LGBT families and seniors should be allowed to live their lives with dignity and respect.
.
My Administration has partnered with the LGBT community to advance a wide range of initiatives. At the international level, I have joined efforts at the United Nations to decriminalize homosexuality around the world. Here at home, I continue to support measures to bring the full spectrum of equal rights to LGBT Americans. These measures include enhancing hate crimes laws, supporting civil unions and Federal rights for LGBT couples, outlawing discrimination in the workplace, ensuring adoption rights, and ending the existing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in a way that strengthens our Armed Forces and our national security. We must also commit ourselves to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic by both reducing the number of HIV infections and providing care and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS across the United States. .
These issues affect not only the LGBT community, but also our entire Nation. As long as the promise of equality for all remains unfulfilled, all Americans are affected. If we can work together to advance the principles upon which our Nation was founded, every American will benefit. During LGBT Pride Month, I call upon the LGBT community, the Congress, and the American people to work together to promote equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. .
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists.
.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third. .
BARACK OBAMA
 The White House
 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
 Washington, DC 20500
.
I talked to my daughter about this. She mentioned that a majority of these people have been sexually violated greatly and became this way. I told her that there were people who never changed their sexual orientation after years of sexual abuse, so it was their decision. (I do know that they were attacked by those spirits and gave into them.) She said to me, "If your daughter decided to marry a lesbian, how would you deal with it? I said, I would not go to the wedding but, would be kind to this person when they came to visit. Because of how I feel about this, there would be ground rules though re how they acted in front of me. I have a friend who chose this life style. I haven't seen her for a long time but, if I was to run into her, I would still be caring to her. She knows what I believe and respects my opinion. For that matter, in the past she came to church for a while.
.
What do you think about this? How would you react if one of your children became a gay or lesbian? I know that we must win people with our love. Give me your opinion in the words and opinions below.

BILLY COLE PROMOTED TO GLORY: Link to Memorial

. A great man of God has passed away. We will see the results of his ministry for years to come. . . .

. Bishop Billy Cole was promoted to Glory today (July 27, 2009) at 11:15 am. He was a few hours shy of turning 75 years of age. (July 28 would have been his seventy-fifth birthday.) The viewings and funeral took place at North Charleston Apostolic Church, the assembly he pastored from 1981 until his retirement. A very brief biography (from the website of his home church) is below. . Brother and Sister Cole, circa early 1990s, during the peak of Brother Cole's international ministry in Holy Ghost crusades. . William H. “Billy” Cole was born to Reverend Jewel C. and Reverend Mary S. Cole in Newark, Ohio, on July 28, 1934. He was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at 7 years of age and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the age of 12 at the Buckeye Lake Camp in Ohio. Nathaniel Urshan was the evangelist and S. G. Norris was the daytime Bible teacher. .

.
At the age of 19, Billy married Shirley Ann Kelbaugh in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on December 22, 1953. After moving to Weirton, West Virginia, for work in the laboratory at Weirton Steel, he recognized that God was calling him to preach. God revealed this to his wife while Billy was away working the night shift. One night God awoke Shirley and she heard an audible voice ask, “Are you willing to sacrifice if I call your husband into the ministry?” She was frightened and didn’t answer. The second night it happened again, and she responded in the same way. The third night it happened, God’s voice came to her three times, very loud and strong. Shirley leaped out of bed and told the Lord, “If this is really You and I am not having some kind of delusion, cause Billy to say something to me this morning when he comes in.” Sure enough he did, and she was convinced. .
They began their ministry by going door to door witnessing. Pastor Allen Cayton came to them after a Sunday morning service and asked, “Why haven’t you told me God has called you to preach?” Later, without advance notice, Pastor Cayton called upon Billy to preach. At the conclusion of his first sermon, a Catholic lady, whom the Coles had brought to church, received the Holy Ghost. .
Brother and Sister Cole’s first major effort was to open a new church in Ravenswood, West Virginia. Not a single Pentecostal of any sort resided in the whole county. They began by pitching a small tent and preaching every night for a month, resulting in 16 adults being baptized in Jesus’ name. .
In Ravenswood, they saw their first great healing miracle. One day they received a call that Sister Barnes, who had been baptized and had received the Holy Ghost, was dying, and the doctor was on the way to the house. Rushing there, praying all the way, Billy believed God had promised to heal her. However, when he got there, the house was filled with people. The doctor had already closed her eyes and covered her with a sheet. The doctor said, “You’re too late, Preacher; she’s gone!” But Billy, believing God to heal her, told the family he would pray for her anyway if they wanted him to. Pulling the sheet down to her shoulders, he prayed. Nothing happened. He prayed louder but still nothing happened. Billy turned to the wall and began praying in tongues even louder, but still nothing happened. Then he got angry and shouted, “Sister Barnes, get up!” She sat straight up in bed and was healed. Reverend Ziegler, her former United Brethren pastor who was there, fell face down on the floor. That church is now pastored by a convert of Brother Cole’s, Reverend T. J. Johnston. There is now a wonderful congregation there, housed in a beautiful new building. .
After pastoring in Ravenswood a few years, Brother and Sister Cole traveled as evangelists. A number of people received the Holy Ghost and were baptized. During this time they also witnessed several notable apostolic events. Then they pastored a church in Spencer, West Virginia, with a congregation of one hundred people. The church was debt free when the Coles moved on. .
The Coles were invited to Elyeria, Pennsylvania, to preach for their former pastor, Brother Cayton, who was starting a new home missions church. One day while Brother Cayton was at work and Sister Cayton and Sister Cole were shopping, Brother Cole was studying the Book of Esther in the Cayton’s apartment. Brother Cole answered a knock at the door to find a visitor holding a note with the address of the Cayton’s apartment. .
He said, “I am Reverend Boon Mark Gittisan, the general secretary for the Presbyterian Church of Thailand. I have been in Detroit, New York City, and Toronto, Canada. I don’t know who gave me this note or for what reason.” Brother Cole was afraid of him but invited him in anyway, thinking about the verse of Scripture, “Some have entertained angels unawares.” .
Brother Cole checked to see if Pastor Cayton’s address was in the church directory, but he was still listed 150 miles away at his old address. He looked for the church’s address, but it was so new it was not listed at all. .
Brother Cole then asked Brother Gittisan, “Have you ever heard of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking with other tongues?” Brother Gittisan said, “Yes, I speak with tongues; there are six of us in Thailand who do.” .
Brother Cole then intended to ask, “Have you ever heard of being baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus?” But Brother Gittisan interrupted Brother Cole and said, “Oh yes, I have been baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.” Brother Cole asked, “Reverend Gittisan, what is the name of the Son?” Reverend Gittisan was stunned. As tears filled Brother Gittisan’s eyes, Brother Cole asked, “Are you having a heart attack?” .
Brother Gittisan answered, “No. You see I can quote the entire New Testament. When you asked me that question, all the scriptures finally came together. Like a curtain being rolled back, I could see Jesus Christ as He really is.” Reverend Gittisan was baptized the next day. This miraculous visit led to the Coles’ being sent to Thailand as missionaries. In seven years they baptized nearly 6,000 Buddhists and witnessed a mighty outpouring of the Holy Ghost. One of their first converts, Reverend Chaiyong Wattanachant, has been superintendent of the Thailand churches for more then 35 years. .
While in Thailand, Brother Cole suffered a stroke, which paralyzed his left arm. The Coles returned to the USA. However, upon his being healed, they returned to Asia as evangelists. Thousands were baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. When Sister Cole became sick, they returned to the USA again. When her health improved, they went to Wheeling, West Virginia. They gathered together six people who were baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost, and in four years they baptized another 450 people and prayed them through to the Holy Ghost. The Wheeling church is now pastored by Reverend David Forsythe, an elder mentored by Brother Cole. .
Seven elders who came out of the Wheeling church under Brother Cole are: Jack Cunningham, who served as General Home Missions Director for the UPCI and is currently superintendent of Virginia District UPCI; David Ward, who became superintendent of Tanzania; Robert Kelley, who became superintendent of Ireland and Scotland; Jerry Burns, who became superintendent of Costa Rica; Eugene Kelley, who pastors in Ohio; Rondel Moss II, Brother Cole’s son-in-law, has assisted him in various capacities since 1972.
