WHO OR WHAT DO WE WORSHIP???: Please check out previous post called "The Symphony" by clicking here.

.
Is not God our AWESOME creator? Can anyone do what He has done? Did He not shed His blood for me? When I go to church, do I worship the Almighty God my Savior as He sooo deserves? Is He not worthy of GREAT praises from me? Should I not make a LOUD noise to Him in adoration? Should I be afraid to worship him in dance (Just as King David said in the Psalms)? Should I not give my BEST to Him in worship at church? Should I not worship Him DAILY as I go about my day? I NEED to spend my time worshiping the Creator with my everything all the time. . .
.
Many people in our society worship with their everything their gods. . . the created; such as Football, Hockey, Soccer & Baseball Stars, Etc. A lot of people also worship Rock & Country Music Stars, Movie Stars Etc.
.
.
These are only people and should not be worshipped. For that matter, what examples do they give us in their lives? Are they setting examples on how we need to be to be pleasing to God and how to make it to heaven? Are they pleasing and acceptable unto God?
.
Throughout the bible it says that only God should be worshiped and not other gods. Now some of you say that these gods are statues and things. Well, how many will miss church to watch the TV or will miss church so that they can work for material things. Are these not objects? If given the choice, how many would give up church to have a TV ? How many people have missed going to church to watch a sport, movie or singer.
.
One form of worship as mentioned in the Bible is to adore. How many people actually adore various people? How many are glad and rejoice & sing with LOUD noises and give that person/persons glory when they go to see them in person or even on the television.

Some people have to have a sweater, hat and even paint their faces to cheer their team or sport person. People have pictures of their favorite person up on their wall and collect cards with pictures of them. They covet to get a signature or something that belonged to them and will do anything to get it including fighting or paying a lot of money for it. It gets so bad that some people will actually faint if they are touched by that person.
What do you call worship. . Here is a free online dictionary definition: . worship [ˈwɜːʃɪp] vb -ships, -shipping, -shipped US, -ships -shiping, -shiped 1...(Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) (tr) to show profound religious devotion and respect to; adore or venerate (God or any person or thing considered divine) 2...(tr) to be devoted to and full of admiration for 3...(intr) to have or express feelings of profound adoration 4...(Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) (intr) to attend services for worship 5...(tr) Obsolete to honour n 1...(Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) religious adoration or devotion 2...(Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) the formal expression of religious adoration; rites, prayers, etc. 3...admiring love or devotion 4...Archaic dignity or standing . We sooo need to be careful to worship God only, for if we put people or for that matter things before him; where does it place us in His eyes.
. Deuteronomy 6: 4 - 8 (New King James Version):
.
4)..“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
.
5)..You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

6)..“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

7)..You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

8)..You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

THE MEANING OF THE SNOWFLAKE

Had to copy this wonderful poem I found re snowflakes. . .

Every new snowflake comes to the earth as a picture of our Saviour’s birth, because they are sent from up above and remind us of God’s care and love. Each one is so intricate and small because Christ sees the details of us all, and just as two are never the same the Lord knows and calls us each by name. Snowflakes gently cover the world in white and hide what’s unlovely from our sight, showing us how He covers our sin and gives us His grace when we come to Him. So may every snowflake bring Christ to mind and in every bit of white may you find a reason to celebrate anew and a reminder of His love for you. ---Holley Gerth Frosty
