Fabulous 5-Minute Fudge Wreath

Today while looking at the Yahoo news there was this delicious recipe:

SERVINGS: 32

PREP: 5 min + chilling

INGREDIENTS:

~ Unsalted butter, softened
~ One 12-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
~ 1 cup butterscotch chips
~ One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (save the can)
~ 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
~ One 8-ounce (1 cup) can walnuts, plus more for topping
~ ½ cup raisins or dried currants (a couple of handfuls)
~ Candied red and green cherries (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan with softened butter. Pour the chocolate and butterscotch chips, condensed milk and vanilla into a medium saucepan. Put the pan on the stove and turn the heat to low.

2. Cover the empty condensed-milk can with plastic wrap and put it in the center of the round cake pan. (Or you could use one of those bundt cake pans)

3. Stir the chips and milk until they melt together, about 3 minutes. Place the pan on a pot holder so it does not burn the kitchen counter. Stir in the nuts and raisins. Scoop the fudge into the cake pan all around the plastic-covered can in the center to form a wreath or ring shape. Let it be all bumpy and funky on top. Keep pushing the can back to the center if the fudge moves it away from there. Cut the red cherries in half with scissors and the green cherries into quarters. Use the green pieces to make leaves and the red to make holly berries. Decorate the fudge with several groups of holly berry sprigs made from the cherries and garnish with walnuts between the sprigs. (The fudge looks good left plain, too!)

4. Put the fudge in the fridge and chill until firm. Remove the can from the center, then loosen the sides and bottom of the fudge with a spatula. Cut the fudge into thin slices to serve.

Speaking of Halloween. . .

The other day one of my favorite bloggers wrote this post called "Skeletons" that came from a dream that Mary had from God. I must say that this made me contemplate what I allow in my home once again.

I looked at the big garbage bag full of totally cute, babelicious and waaaaaaaay adorable stuff. Was I REALLY doing this??? Was I really going to get rid of all these beloved items??? YES... I WAS!!! And it had ALL started with a dream...

I had this dream one night several months ago, that our whole house was decorated in Halloween stuff! Ghosts, witches, ghouls, monsters, skeletons...EWWWW… it was so creepy!!! In the dream I remember I was in my room with Kim and I was just like, I CAN NOT believe that my sister decorated the house in all this junk!!! She HATES THIS STUFF!!! I remember feeling so appalled. This is HORRIBLE!!! I said to Kim. I do NOT want this stuff decorating my room.

When I woke up in the morning, I thought oh man that was a weird dream...I am really glad to know that my sis and I would never decorate the house in all that stuff. Later on in the day I was thinking about it, and although it wasn't like an audible voice or anything, I REALLY felt like God impressed something on my heart.

I felt like he told me that there was some skeletons in our house, but we couldn't see them. I felt like he told me there were things that look sweet and innocent, but they are really representing evil. Although we wouldn't ACTUALLY decorate our homes with Halloween stuff, in a way, we still were by allowing these things into our home. I was like OH WOW!!!

I was like BUT WHAT??? I mean we don't have TV or Movies or video games or NOTHING of the sort...but still, I felt like God was specifically telling me that there was INDEED stuff that we needed to get rid of in our home. So in my morning prayer, I began asking God to open my eyes to stuff and to give our household convictions about stuff that he didn't like.

WEEEELLLL God moved in on that prayer VERY quickly!!! The first thing he showed me that he didn't like was...MAGIC!!!! Anything, that was magical was not pleasing to him...I'm like WHAT??? I mean, I’m like the BIGGEST fan ever of ALL the Disney princesses, how could magic possibly be unpleasing to God?!?! However, as I thought about it, it began to make sense. Anything that mysteriously happens, if its not YOUR IMAGINATION and its NOT A MIRACLE OF God it is Magic. Now if it’s not from our own human minds and its NOT from God, that only leaves one other option…Satan.

I know it sounds creepy, and fanatical, but I really believe that when it comes right down to it, magic is of the devil. Magic is the PRETTY, SWEET version of something else we all know as WITCHCRAFT!!! Ooooo I know it sounds extreme, but it’s true... I mean bibbidi bobbidi boo... it seems soooo innocent but what does it mean??? I would hate to find out that I’m spouting out some sort of devilish chant.

I remember as a child, troll dolls were very popular. Everyone at school had them and a lot of the kids at our church even. My mom would NEVER let us have troll dolls. I used to wine and complain about not having a troll doll like all the other kids. I remember thinking, WHY DOES MY MOM have to be so strict? What could possibly be wrong with a troll doll when EVEN the pastor’s daughter had one? (with clothes on)

Well, my mom told me WHY she didn’t like trolls and WHY she would NEVER allow one into our home. She said that trolls were nothing new. They had troll dolls when she was a child. She said that what most Apostolic people probably didn’t know about trolls, but she did because she was not raised in the truth, was that each troll represented a different spirit. She said that her and her friends would line all their troll dolls up next the Ouija board and play. Now if you don’t know what a Ouija board is, it is a board game that plays with spirits. As soon as I found out her reason for me not having one, I NEVER again asked my mom for a troll doll. It made sense to me. Why would I want something that represented evil?

So often we think that the people are fanatical because they won’t celebrate a certain Holiday or participate in certain traditions. But if we get the whole scoop and find out the meaning behind these things, we would be able to understand WHY they have a conviction. You say, Oh I don’t want to know the history or the meaning behind something, it takes the fun out of EVERYTHING. Proverbs 8:13 says, “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil…and the evil way.” If we are God’s people, why would we even want those things?

There are so many things that we try and hold on to or get away with, but why? We wouldn’t let a witch doctor come into our home and cast a spell on our kids, but we’ll read about it to them in a book? “Neither give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27) The devil disguises evil as fun and cute, JUST so he can get a foot into our homes. The devil knows how us Apostolics are. We’re not Gothics, ready to hang up straight evil on our walls, so he has to disguise it.

We’re in a battle in a spiritual battle. What I write about is not to put people on a guilt trip, but to encourage us as Christians to search our homes for skeletons and to pick up the sword and start fighting against evil coming into our homes. As David says in 1 Samuel 17: "Is there not a cause?" How important are our families and children to us? Are they not a cause WORTH fighting for?

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

LEFTY'S HEFTY CHILI - link to Crock Pot Turkey Chili

Well, Thanks Giving is over in Canada. It is always nice to reflect on the blessings of God but this holiday really makes you appreciate them.

This year I got some left over turkey, the organs and drippings; my Chinese friends, my son Shane and myself had a wonderful Thanks Giving meal because of the generosity of my friend. God is good! I made some delicious bread stuffing out of the drippings, organs, celery, onions fried in butter and seasoned with salt, pepper & sage. We had some tender turkey boiled in some more of the drippings & mushroom soup; some steamed Swiss chard (from my garden) and mixed veggies. The drippings & soup made fantastic gravy for the mashed potatoes! mmmmm

To top it off, we had store bought pumpkin pie and homemade apple-crisp with medium to small green apples which was a blessing from a friends tree - turned out perfect being it was a little tangy with the addition of Breyers vanilla ice cream!

What made it REALLY special is spending it with my son, Tracy & her husband Colin. ♥ Thank the Lord for family& friends!

A while back, my boss told me about a chili recipe that had cocoa powder as one of its flavorings. Perfect for the cool days; such as it gets in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. (Because it makes so much, I decided to split it in half. If you decide to double it, it freezes really well.) This chili recipe is from a restaurant in California called "Lefty O'Doul's" He said that it is really tasty, so here it is.

Ingredients: 2 tbsp vegetable oil (Coconut oil is the best for frying anything)

1 large onion
2 large garlic cloves minced (I would put 3 cloves of garlic)
2 pounds of lean beef stewing meat, cut in small cubes - 4 cups (you could probably use lean ground beef)
1.5 pounds of bulk pork sausage - 3 cups (if you don't like pork, try other sausages such as turkey)
1 large can of cubed tomatoes

1 small can of tomato paste
3 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 small can of baked beans
1 tsp salt (sea salt for me)
1 tsp sugar (brown for me)
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 small can kidney beans drained
1 small can pinto beans drained

In a large heavy sauce pan, heat the oil. Saute the onion and garlic until soft but not brown. Add the beef and sausage and brown. Pour off fat. Add tomatoes, meat mixture, tomato paste, spices, baked beans, salt, sugar and cocoa. Simmer partially covered for 2 hours, stirring often. If mixture becomes too dry add water as it cooks. Stir in the the beans and cook 30 minutes longer or until meat is very tender.

Makes about 5 1-cup servings.

I think 1 cup of fresh or 1/2 a can of mushrooms and even 1/2 cup of bell peppers cut up would taste great in this. Chili is great on brown rice or brown toast. For that matter, try this on my crepes with shredded cheese on top:

MY APPLE CRISP RECIPE:

To make the Apple Crisp, I turned on the oven to 375 F. and then greased my large corning ware dish with lots of real butter (I think it is 10" X 10" X 3").

To begin, I sliced one green apple at a time in segments and cut out the core, peeled each piece, rinsed it in water and placed it in the dish. Did that until the whole bottom was totally filled with apple. When that was done I sprinkled the apples with cinnamon, 1/16 inch of cane sugar, a tiny bit of flour and dabbed it with I would say an 1/8 tsp of butter everywhere strategically 2 inches apart. When that layer was done, I proceeded to do another good size layer of apples & cinnamon (leaving an inch of space left on top for the crumbs).

To make the crumb mixture, I creamed 1 cup of cane sugar with about 1/3 cup of butter. Added to that was 1 cup of large flake oats and 1/2 cup of flour. It was stirred all together until it looked like crumbs and was spread on the apples. The now full dish was placed in the hot oven to bake for 45 minutes.

Num, Num. It turned out magnifico and just finished baking when we sat down to eat.

After I got it in the oven, I made the supper.

Thank God for my son helping me by picking the Swiss chard and cleaning up a bit.

TONGUES GIFT OF HOLY SPIRIT OR SPIRITUAL GIFT & INTERCEDING IN THE SPIRIT

.In everyday lives people deal with natural battles such as how they are going to pay for bills, rent/mortgages, food, cloths or maybe deal with health issues for themselves or loved ones. Sometimes a person might have to face abuse or loneliness. People from every nation have their cross/burdens to bare. As mentioned in some of the scriptures in a more recent post (June 11/09), Jesus can help us with those things if we will lean on him. It may not be in a way we would expect but, God our creator knows what we need before we ask. At this time I am talking to a person who is very angry with God because her life has not gone the way she wants it to go. Sometimes we bring on the things that have happened or that are happening to us. I am sure you have heard the saying that you reap what you sow. But, other times we don't ask for what we are getting. Either way, if we would just give it to Jesus and let him take over our lives. . . he would make things fall into place. Our lives are like a big puzzle. We don't know where all the pieces are suppose to go. God can arrange the puzzle so it all fits together. We just need to do the best we can in pleasing God according to his word or according to what you know is right until God shows us more. It is important that we keep our minds and heart open to the direction he wants us to go through prayer.

If you have Gods spirit within you, his spirit can intercede for you through tongues (utterance in the spirit) and maybe even intercessory prayer. Below I have chose to discuss the subject of tongues and intercessory prayer. Hopefully I can explain it in a way that is easy to understand.

As you read the 3 verses below, you will discover that Jesus is mentioning about a promise he is going to give and instructs for these individuals to wait for it in Jerusalem. He also mentions that it is the Holy Spirit. . .

Verse 49 of Luke 24 says:
.

49) Behold, I (Jesus) send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Verses 4 & 5 of Acts 1 which is continuing from Lukes writing says:

4) And being assembled together with them, He (Jesus) commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for THE PROMISE of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

5) for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT not many days from now.

What happened when the people received the Holy Spirit? I myself spoke in tongues when receiving it and saw MANY others likewise do the same. This was similar to what happened in Acts Chapter 2, 8, 10 & 19. God poured out the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, disciples and Mary the mother of Jesus (in the upper room); and in other instances the Samaritans, Jews and the Gentiles with tongues as the Holy Spirit gave utterance. Some people say that God was just speaking to the people in their language when it was first poured out but, when Peter spoke everyone knew what he said; therefore, the different tongues were not neccesary. The tongues was for a sign that Gods spirit was poured out. Also if you read Acts 2:38, Peter has called it a gift. Is this the same as the gift of tongues? Lets read and see.

Acts 1: 13 - 15

13) And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James.
14) These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. 15) And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty),

Acts 2: 4, 32, 33, 38 & 39

4) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them UTTERANCE.
32) This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33) Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father THE PROMISE of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
38) Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
39) For the promise is to YOU and to YOUR CHILDREN, and to ALL who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Acts 8: 5, 17-19
5) Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.
17) Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18) And when Simon SAW that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
19) saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 10: 1, 2, 44-46

1) There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,
2) a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.
44) While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
45) And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
46 For they HEARD them speak WITH TONGUES and magnify God.

Acts 19: 1, 2 & 6

1) And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
2) he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”
6) And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke WITH TONGUES and prophesied.

God is still pouring it out the same way. When you have repented and are ready to receive his spirit, you WILL speak in other tongues showing that you have the of the Holy Spirit but, it is not a one time thing. It must continue, as you must get to a place where you speak in tongues regularly when praying to God. It shows that you are in the spirit and you WILL know that you are linked with God when you do this.

These people did not have the Holy Spirit until their experience in the upper Room in Jerusalem. Later, after the book of Acts, the gift of tongues (one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit) was talked about. The gift of tongues came AFTER the outpouring of his Holy Spirit. I have seen the spiritual gifts (tongues & interpretation, prophesy and others as well) in action. These were only to serve a temporary purpose. For example when God wanted to confirm what was preached over the pulpit or when he was trying to reach an individual/individuals. I believe that I was used once for the gift of healing but, it was only a temporary gift. It ceased.

1 Corinthians 1:4-7

4) I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

5) that you were enriched in everything by Him in ALL UTTERANCE and all knowledge,
6) even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,
7) so that you come short of NO gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. . .
.

1 Corinthians 12:1-4, 7-14, 18, 25-31 1) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

2) You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.
3) Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking BY THE SPIRIT of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
4) There are diversities of gifts, but the SAME Spirit.
7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8) for to one is given the word of wisdom THROUGH the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the SAME Spirit,
9) to another faith by the SAME Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the SAME Spirit,
10) to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11) BUT ONE AND THE SAME Spirit works ALL these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 12) For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
13) For by ONE Spirit we were ALL baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have ALL been made to drink into ONE Spirit.
27) Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
28) And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
29) Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
30) Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
31) But earnestly desire THE BEST gifts.

There is alot of confusion re the below 1 Corinthians 14. Paul is talking about 3 distinct situations:
.

1. He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself.

2. If tongues is used in the gifts of the spirit with interpretation, it edifies the church.

3. He who prophesies (gift of prophecy/preaching) edifies the church.

1Corinthians 14:1,2,4, 12-25, 39, 40
1) Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
2) For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men BUT TO GOD, ...
4) He who speaks in a tongue edifies HIMSELF, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
12) Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.
13) Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
14) For if I PRAY in a tongue, MY SPIRIT PRAYS, but my understanding is unfruitful
15) What is the conclusion then? I will pray WITH the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
16) Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say?
17) For you indeed give thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18) I thank my God I SPEAK WITH TONGUES MORE THAN YOU ALL;
19) yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. 21) In the law it is written: “ With men of OTHER TONGUES and other lips I will speak to this people; And yet, for all that, they will not hear Me,” says the Lord.
22) Therefore tongues ARE FOR A SIGN, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe.
23) Therefore if the whole church comes together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those who are uninformed or unbelievers, will they not say that you are out of your mind?
24) But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all.
25) And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.
39) Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and DO NOT forbid to speak with tongues.
40) Let all things be done decently and in order.

Not only will you speak in tongues when you get in the spirit, you will also groan because sometimes you need to intercede for yourself or others. In Romans this is called groanings that can't be uttered. Many times I begin my prayer speaking to Jesus, God's spirit takes over, I speak in tongues and then I feel heavy in the Spirit causing me to groan. When this scripture was mentioned in the bible, it was AFTER the outpouring of his spirit just as when it talks about spiritual gifts.

Romans 8: 26 & 27
26) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27) Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Now for all of you who have it, below is an article about a lady that started interceding as soon as she had the above experience of receiving Gods spirit. God was pleased that she was yielding to the Holy Spirit by interceding but, told her that there was a part of her walk with him that he desired and that was to be intimate with him. . . .

FORGOTTEN ABOUT INTIMACY?

.....I began to travail only two days after receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. . . I thought something was wrong with me. . . Id never heard anyone do what I had just done. . . I mean for 30 minutes or so I groaned & wailed loudly in the privacy of my bedroom. . . I went straight to HIS WORD & asked HIM point blank what it is I had just done. . . My bible fell open to Romans 8. . . "With groanings the spirit makes intercession. . . cuz we don't know what to pray for but HE does. . . " (I'm paraphrasing of course). . . From then on that has been one of my major callings. . . to travail & intercede for souls & for the church of the living God & for me & my husband's ministry. . . .....It wasn't until much later (15 years later) (& this happened only a few weeks ago-in January of 2009) I was speaking to the ladies at a place where my husband & I had went to preach revival & during the worship before I got up to speak the Holy Ghost came all over me & began to speak to me as an individual. . . The Lord began to to tell me that I was a vessel that HE had used mightily how by my travail I had helped to birth many many souls into HIS kingdom. . . & by my intercessory prayer & the ability to do war in the Spirit that I had literally destroyed kingdoms that Satan had been able to construct & how I had freed many from bondage & from strongholds.

......But HE said. . . "You Lack Intimacy With Me!" . . . HE then began to tell me how after HE uses me to do whatever. . . Birthing, Spiritual Warfare, Intercession, etc. . . Whatever it was HE who decided to use me to do. . . I would simply get up & think in my own self, "Well I've done what I'm suppose to do. . . " & then go off without taking time for intimacy with HIM. HE then told me. . . "This is why so many times you go into almost a burn out mode. . . Kind of like Elijah in that cave. . ." HE said its because you have lacked that intimacy with me. . . It is in that intimacy you find strength to go on into the next battle. . . HE even said that David never fought one battle until he spent time with me on that hill side. . . .....I'm guilty as charged Bro & Sis Warriors! You know just because HE uses us mightily doesn't mean we have done all that we need to do. . . Its NOT US doing the praying anyway. . . We are just mere vessels that HE'S using for HIS PURPOSE! In fact if you think about it WE NEED that intimacy probably more than the average saint or minister. . . We've got to have strength for that battle. . . Just as the Lord impressed me with David. . . HE'S so right. . . I was under the misconception that just because HE used me that I went somewhere deep in HIM. . . But the real depths come from intimacy. . . But if we don't learn to tarry in HIS PRESENCE after the battle. . . OVEN BAKED FRIED CHICKEN

This is one of my boys’ favorites and they’re always willing to help cook when this is on the menu. Since drumsticks are their favorite, I buy a large package of 10 organic drumsticks and use the leftover drumsticks for family picnics or in their lunchboxes, since this chicken also tastes great cold!

• 2 large eggs
• 1/3 cup buttermilk (or plain kefir)
• 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
• ½ cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 ½ tsp dried oregano, crushed
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp sea salt
• 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
• 8-10 chicken drumsticks, skin on
(or assorted chicken pieces, skin on)
• 3 tbsp butter, melted
.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and buttermilk. In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper. Place breadcrumb mixture on a large plate or baking dish to make it easier to dredge the chicken. Dip drumsticks/chicken pieces into egg mixture; then dredge through breadcrumb mixture until well coated.

Place drumsticks/chicken pieces on a well-oiled 12x17-inch baking sheet, making sure pieces don't touch. Use a spoon to drizzle melted butter across top of chicken. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until juice of chicken runs clear when poked with a fork. (Do not turn chicken during baking.) Enjoy!

GRANDMA'S CULTURED POTATO SALAD

I may be a bit bias here, but my Grandma's homemade potato salad has always been one of my favorites. I'm sure she would be proud to know I'm still making it, with just a slight real foodie adjustment – the addition of whole milk yogurt, which provides the health benefits of probiotics, as well as adding a wonderful tangy flavor! Absolutely delicious – the perfect side dish for summer picnics and BBQs!

• 6 cups diced organic red potatoes
(about 5-6 large red potatoes)
• 2 boiled eggs, diced
• 1-2 stalks of celery, diced
• 1-2 green onions, finely diced
(include some green parts)
• 1/2 cup plain organic whole milk yogurt
• 1/4 cup mayo
• 1/2 tbsp fresh-squeezed lemon juice
• 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 tsp Celtic sea salt
• 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
• 1/4 tsp dried dill weed
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder

In a large stockpot, boil diced potatoes, until fork tender. Drain and set aside to cool to room temperature. (The reason it's important to bring the potatoes to room temp first, before tossing them in the yogurt mixture, is so the live cultures won't be damaged by excessive heat.)

Meanwhile, in a large bowl, add yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, mustard and seasonings. Whisk until well combined. Using a large rubber spatula, fold in the diced boiled eggs, celery and green onion. Place mixture in frig until potatoes are finished cooling.

Once potatoes are room temp, add them to the yogurt mixture and gently fold all ingredients together using a large rubber spatula. Add additional salt and fresh ground pepper to taste. Place potato salad in a medium serving bowl and sprinkle top with dried or fresh chopped dill weed (or Italian parsley).

Refrigerate at least two hours, or up to 24-hours, before serving. Serves 4-6. Mmm! A healthy dose of cultures in every delicious bite!

Oh ya, just letting you know that when making your potato salad, try adding some cubed cheese & ham and maybe some sliced radishes & cucumbers. My dad always does this and I enjoy it this way. . . . You can almost have it as a meal in itself.

Was checking out the Babbling Brook site and found this recipe. Boy, does it sound delicious. Num, Num. I think I am going one day try it on my barbecue and even the oven. . . . .
Ingredients:

•.1 flank steak(1 1/2 to 2 lbs)
• 1 tbsp butter
• Salt & pepper
• 1 tsp oregano
• 1 tbsp red wine vinegar

Cut the below thin lengthwise:

• 1 rib of celery
• 1 carrot
• 1 red bell pepper
• 4 oz cheese
..(whatever sounds good)
..for example garlic and
hhhherb white cheddar

Directions:

1...Preheat grill to medium.
2...Butterfly your flank steak
....lengthwise into one long rectangular

This was on my heart after hearing the radio and from various people that the worlds end is supposed to be on May 21st: The Bible says that we know not the hour nor the day of Jesus coming Jesus said that he would come as a thief in the night. . . That being said, "ARE WE READY for his coming anyways?"

Are we right with God and with others? Are we living Holy & Righteous? Are our hearts pure?

We are not like the Scribes & Pharisees, where we are self righteous; right? Do our actions show the kingdom of God according to our heart and the heart of God?

Have we done what Jesus said re salvation?

For those who may not know, have you obeyed Acts 2:38 (and many other scriptures backing this) by repenting of you sins, and getting baptized in JESUS name for the remission of your sins? (Please check the links I have on the side bar of my blog where I am asking "how do you know you are going to Heaven." -- These will give you scriptures on salvation and will perhaps answer some of your questions.)

Dearest Jesus, Let us be totally ready for your coming. . .

Jesus spent His last days with his twelve beloved disciples in the upper room where together, they would have the Passover meal before his death. He talked to them about how He would die and rise again. Judas was revealed as His betrayer when Jesus said that the person who dipped his bread with His would betray Him. He was sent away to fulfill scriptures which told of the Messiah being betrayed with 30 pieces of silver. True servitude was shown on how it was to be done by Jesus re the kingdom of God. Peter found out that he was going to deny the Savior thrice.

Later, after the meal, Peter, James, John and the other seven disciples (all but Judas) would go with Jesus to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. He would be as the olive being pressed for oil, but it was His life that would be pressed out of Him. (Gethsemane means “oil press”.) While He was praying, even His closest disciples fell asleep so He was at that moment feeling alone. Jesus would soon be betrayed by Judas to the Romans because of the jealous religious leaders who wanted Him dead. Christ knew that He would physically suffer greatly and would be abandoned by his friends. Also, He would be taking all sins on Himself, from the beginning of the creation until the end of the world. Jesus was that spotless Lamb of God that was talked about since the fall of Adam and Eve and would be the final sacrifice. As he prayed, all these pressures weighed on Him enough that He started sweating out blood. What burdens He had to bear.

That moment finally came that He would be taken away. A detachment of troops with weapons, officers (from the Chief Priests and Pharisees) and Judas came. Jesus was betrayed with a kiss from Judas. He was arrested, bound and taken to the Sanhedrin court for a trial with Annas and then Caiahpas the Jewish high priest which lasted throughout the night. They had false witnesses accuse Him of blasphemy but Jesus was without sin. Along with all the false accusations, our Redeemer was beaten and mocked. Finally He was sentenced to death by them.

Early in the morning He was taken to Pontus Pilate by those who captured him. Pontus could find nothing to sentence Jesus with. Pilate sent Jesus to Herod who also found nothing against him. Back to Pilate He went. Pilate washed his hands and said, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person." "You see to it.” Pilate would only have had him whipped but because of the demands of the Jews, He was to be crucified. Along with this terrible scourging, Jesus was ridiculed by the soldiers and beaten some more. The Jews chose a terrible criminal to be freed instead of Him.
.
To overcome the bondage of sin, He had to be crucified and die a horrific death. Satan was soon to find out that he was overcome by the blood of Jesus. (See an excellent description of His death according to a medical perspective, by clicking the title.) The scriptures only tell some of what Jesus suffered for us.
.
Three days later, after being placed in a borrowed tomb, Jesus rose from the dead. He gave mankind a way to be delivered from the spiritual death that was bestowed upon us by the sins of Adam & Eve. He made a way for us to have victory over sin. THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Cheryl's Healthy Pumpkin Cake

The other day, I decided to make my own pumpkin cake and was it ever tasty & moist.

Here is my recipe:

Preheat oven to 350 F

.
Add the below ingredients as mentioned:
.
Into a large bowl, dump and mix the below dry ingredients.
.
2 cups of Whole wheat flour (I used some freshly ground flour from a friend)
3/4 cups of raw cane sugar & 1/4 cup of demerra sugar (You could probably use 1 cup of light brown sugar or 1/2 cup of white & 1/2 cup of demerra brown sugar)
1/2 tsp of idodized sea salt
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of powdered ginger
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of sliced almonds
.
Add and mash/cut with pastry blender or a fork until it looks like large flakes of oatmeal: 1/2 cup of soft lard or shortening (I used lard)
.
Make a hole in the middle of the above when done mashing. Then add and mix in the hole:
.
2 Large eggs
.
In the 1 cup measuring cup add and mix together:
.
1/2 cup of milk & 1/2 tsp of apple cider vinegar (or you can use regualar vinegar).
.
Pour into the eggs and also add:
.
1 cup of canned pumpkin or unthawed pumpkin you cooked, blended and froze previously (click right here and read the bottom of this linked post on how to do the fresh pumpkin.)
.
Stir all the above ingredients together until smooth.
.
Totally grease inside of a 9 X 9 square glass cake pan or a regular cake pan with shortening, lard or butter and dust all over with flour
.
Pour batter and bang the pan full of batter a couple of times on your work space to get out any large air bubbles.
.
Put in the middle of a preheated oven and bake for appoximately 35 minutes or until, when poked with a knife or fork the batter does not stick to it (maybe check it after about 30 minutes of baking).
.
Take out of the oven, lightly dust with icing sugar and serve hot or cold with butter or if you like whipping cream on the side. (It should come out of the pan easily so you could flip it onto a plate and serve it like this if you wish.)
.
Enjoy with tea or coffee.
.

And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against.

That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it, it shows that we are all brothers and Sisters celebrating this happy time of year. ..................................................................................................................................... It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away...
I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him?

I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to. In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?' In light of recent events... terrorists attacks, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained "she didn't want prayer in our schools," and we said "OK".. Then someone said "you better not read The Bible in school." The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said "OK." Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said "we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem" (Dr Spock's son committed suicide). We said "an expert should know what he's talking about. "And we said "OK." Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.' Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us. Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process. . . .

Before I give you this tasty recipe, I thought you might find this article I came across interesting:

The Historical Pumpkin

The pumpkin is actually a gourd, belonging to the same family tree as cucumbers, squash, and melons. It's name derived from the Old French word: pompion which derived in turn from the Greek word Pepon which means "cooked by the sun". Most likely native to Central America, the pumpkin was grown extensively by the North American Native Americans prior to the European invasion. It was served boiled and baked, made into a soup and was also dried and made into a meal that was used as commonly as cornmeal in breads and puddings. The fruit was also preserved by being cut into rings and hung to dry. The dried fruit was put to use through the winter months. So, it is quite likely that the pumpkin pie you serve on Thanksgiving Day had its roots in that first Thanksgiving feast. In fact, it is said that in one Connecticut community early in the nation's history when molasses could not be acquired for pumpkin pies, the annual Thanksgiving celebration was delayed until the commodity could be acquired. A seventeenth century writer described pumpkin preparation in this way:

"The Housewive's manner is to slice them when ripe and then into Dice, and so fill a pot with them of two or three gallons and stew them upon a gentle fire the whole day. And as they sink they fill again with fresh Pompions not putting any liquor to them and when it is stirred enough it will look like Baked Apples, this Dish putting Butter to it and a little Vinegar with some Spice as Ginger which makes tart like an Apple and so serve it up to be eaten with fish and flesh."

Colonial uses of the pumpkin are also chronicled in this ancient verse:

For pottage. and puddings.

and custard, and pies Our pumpkins and parsnips

are common supplies. We have pumpkins at morning

and pumpkins at noon If it weren't for pumpkins,

we should be undoon.

The first pumpkin pies of the colonies were made by hollowing out the pumpkin and discarding pulp and seeds and filling the shell with creamery milk and spices, much like this recipe. Pumpkin pie prepared in this fashion was said to be a favorite of George Washington.

Pumpkin Pie sans Shell .

Ingredients:

. 1 5-8 lb. pumpkin 6 eggs 2 1/2 C whipping cream 3/4 C brown sugar 2 tbsp. molasses 1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 3 tbsp. unsalted butter Cut the lid from pumpkin as you would for making a jack-o-lantern. Remove pulp and seeds from pumpkin, scraping quite clean. Save seeds for toasting later, if desired. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add the cream, sugar, molasses, and spices. Beat smooth and pour into the pumpkin shell. Dot with butter and replace lid.

Set pumpkin on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil and place in a 350 degree oven for 2 hours or until the mixture has set up like a custard pie. Time will vary with size of pumpkin.

Serve directly from the pumpkin and instruct dinners to be sure to take a bit of the shell with each scoop.

Garnish with whipped cream. Serves 6-12, depending on size of pumpkin. Here's the pie recipe which I got from this cookbook from my mom which was made at a church in Calgary. (My kids and I REALLY enjoyed it.) This is very easy to make and is a nonbake recipe. I found that when I was using the oven for other baking, this helped me to get more desserts made when I was in a rush.

If you click the title, you will get a link to an excellent pie pastry recipe. Will put a simple recipe for a graham wafer crust (if you prefer) on the bottom of this recipe. Also, if you plan to use fresh pumpkin, will give instructions on how to prepare it last but do this the day before you choose to make your pie so that you won't fill flustered for time. You can use the jack-o-lantern from Halloween. Just scrape out the wax and you're ready to go. . .

Ingredients: 1/2 lb Plain Marshmallows (about 32 full sized) 2 Tbsp Milk 2/3 cup Pumpkin (replacement - cooked carrots, blended) 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon 1/4 Tsp Ginger 1 Tsp Lemon Juice 1 Cup Whipping Cream, WHIPPED At med low heat, half melt marshmallows with milk folding over and over in medium pot. Remove from heat and continue folding until the mixture is smooth. Cool, add pumpkin which has been seasoned with spices and lemon juice. Fold in whipping cream.

*** For less fattening pumpkin pie, try replacing whipping cream with plain yogurt and omit the lemon (since it has a bit of a sour taste.) Astro Original - Balkan Style is quite nice. Pour into 12" baked pie shell or graham wafer crust (whatever you prefer) Chill for 2 hours. . .

Graham Wafer Crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degree F with a rack in the center of the oven. Ingredients: 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs or about 10 whole crackers, crushed

2 Tbsp White Sugar 8 Tsp unsalted butter, melted To crush the crackers, place them in a heavy ziplock bag and roll with a heavy rolling pin until completely crushed. Melt butter in small pot. Thoroughly mix in graham cracker crumbs and sugar in melted butter. Scrape the mixture into the pie pan, and use your fingers to press the mixture evenly onto the bottom and sides of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven to cool. Pour in pumpkin mixture and cool for 2 hours

Good with whipping cream on top. I like the real thing.

PS If you are wanting to use a fresh pumpkin, a small to medium one will do.

Preheat the oven at 350 F. Line some cake pans with tin foil. You will need 2 big bowls if you have them or 2 big pots or 1 of each. Also, you will need a blender and a large knife.

Cut the top off and scrape the inside of the pumpkin out. Save the seeds in a bowl to bake later and throw the stringy stuff into your compost bin or in the garbage. Cut the pumpkin into manageable pieces, as you will be scraping the pumpkin off of the skin. If it is a small one, perhaps you should cut it into 8 pieces. Strategically place the pieces faced up in the tinfoiled pans so they are snug. Cover the pumpkin with tin foil also so that it cooks evenly. Bake for about 3/4 of an hour or when you poke them, the knife/fork will come out easily. Poke different pieces as some might cook faster than others. When it is done, take out and cool. Take a large spoon and scrape the pumpkin off into a large bowl and blend until smooth. Pour into the other container.

Take out what you need for your pie and put the rest in freezer bags or in some containers and freeze.

Some of my articles I posted have to do with physical health and others regard spiritual health. Although physical health is very important, spiritual health should be our ultimate goal.

A lot of times, if we are not doing good spiritually, we become physically sick. Why? Because spiritual happiness carries few burdens. I am sure that most of you discover that your immunities go down when you have to many worries on your plate of life. You become sick. For example; years ago I had something bad happen in my life which made me verrrry stressed out. I became very sick with bronchitis. I felt physically drained from all my emotional turmoil. "Stress suppresses the immune system." Right now, I have a daughter that gets sick every time she is stressed out. Her stomach acts up. "Anxiety and stress can cause the body to produce more digestive acid."

I have heard that one of the reasons my shoulder muscles ache is because of stress. "Tension triggers the sympathetic nervous system to reduce blood flow to the muscles, which makes them prone to spasms." When I am stressed my memory gets really bad. "High levels of the stress hormone cortisol can temporarily impair your ability to recall well-known information" Cancer is a result of stress, poor eating & sleeping habits and sometimes is inherited.

Doctors are saying that to help people get better, laughter is good medicine and I believe that if people have a negative effect on the patient, they are not allowed to see them. Through our own experiences, we know negative things will affect us.

The Bible has MANY words speaking of how to overcome our worries:

Jesus said to give your burdens to him. . .

Matthew 11:28 - 30

28) Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

King Solomon the wisest man of his time talks about a merry heart. . .

Proverbs 17: 22

A MERRY heart does GOOD, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

Proverbs 15: 13

A MERRY heart makes a CHEERFUL countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Verse 30: The light of the eyes REJOICES the heart, And a GOOD report makes the bones HEALTHY.

Jesus said not to worry. . .

25 ) Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Luke 12: 6 & 7 6) Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

Peter said to cast ALL our cares upon JESUS, for he CARES for YOU!!! :

6) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

7) casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

God did not intend us to have stress in our lives when he created us. In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve did not have worries as they depended on God completely. The all wise, loving God was their friend! They only started worrying when they ate of the fruit of the tree of good and evil. They made a choice that had a negative effect on there lives and mankind (their predecessors) health and livelihood went spiralling down.

God, our creator, has set ways for us to live. If we obey his word (through his spirit - THE REST) and lean on him, we will have more fulfilling lives. The Creator of the automobile knew that the car needed certain things done to keep it working at its maximum potential. That is how it is with God. We will be able to function better than ever before.

THE REST. . .

Jesus said that if we believe on him as the scriptures say, out of our bellies will flow rivers of living water. (The spirit)

John 7:37-39 37) On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38) He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

39) But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus told you must be born of the water and the spirit and when born of the spirit there will be a sound that will be compared to the wind. When the wind blows, you hear the results of it (the rustling of the leaves etc.) but you can't see it.

John 3:3-8

3) Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4) Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5) Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Verses 37-42

38) Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (THE REST)

39) For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

40) And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.

41) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

You can get the Rest where ever you are but, you are going to need spiritual food to keep you healthy. If you will eat, the spirit will revive your faint soul by administering to you all the much needed word of God . This is medicine. If you are not taking care of your spiritual man by properly feeding it, you will become so sick that you will die spiritually.

Doctor Jesus can heal you or bring you back to life (if you let him). It's like someone gets so sick he/she is dying and needs to go to the hospital to get well. An intravenous (the spirit) to give the medication (his word) will need to be admininstered. The church is the hospital. Jesus is the doctor to our sick spiritual man and can make us better through the venue of his spirit. The preacher who is the head nurse, through the doctors instruction, administers the medicine intraveniously and God's people are assistant nurses that makes sure things are taken care of such as checking to see if you're ok.

Let me tell you a story that I promise is true;

it may seem familiar because it not very new.

It’s about a man beaten by this world’s awful games,

once proud and strong now full of sin and shame.

The Devil had his fun; and started up a fight,

beating the man senseless, it was an awful sight.

He was left in a gutter to die, no use to anyone;

until that precious day when he met the risen Son.

To that Hill called Calvary, this man just simply went;

to surrender his broken life, that seemed already spent.

Those burdens rolled off his back into the deep blue sea;

the chains and shackles were gone and he was set free.

Then the Angels stopped and listened, with hearts so full of cheer.

Not a noise in heaven could be heard, as the music grew near.

A song broke forth that made the entire Heaven’s ring;

“Praise God, I’ve been redeemed,” the man began to sing.

All at once the angels let out a victory shout.

They striked up the band, and danced all about;

'cause never will you hear any angel sing that song.

For only to the sinner saved by grace does it belong.

Because Jesus paid a high price ever so long ago.

So He could take a blackened heart, make it white as snow,

then create a new man and give him a new start;

a new life, a clean soul and a joyful heart.

But, the journey seem hard on the narrow way.

The man at first struggled and fell but, never would he stray.

He learned that the only way he could ever stand,

was on his knees and hold tight to Jesus’ mighty hand.

When the dark night came and clouds hid the light,

the enemy came in; he felt he was loosing the fight.

Where did Jesus go? He use to be so near.

The man knew he shouldn’t be scared but oh how he feared.

He felt he was walking through that Valley of Death,

wondering when he would draw his last and final breath.

This was to much to bear the burden was to great;

he knew he had to trust God but would this be his fate?

Then silence fell, as the morning began to break;

the wounded soldier stirred then started to awake.

Where once he stood in that great battle’s heat,

he now stood with his enemies’ dead around his feet.

The battle was too great, the night was oh so long;

but, there was only One who could ever be so strong,

To wipe out the enemies to make them all fall.

The One and Only, my All in All.

In that great battle O’ how he had cried;

but, now his heart overflowed with joy inside.

On that battlefield where he barely had a chance,

now can be seen a man doing a grateful dance.

For when you have the King of kings riding by your side,

you'll find the Greatest Warrior, being God your guide.

One thing's for sure and will always stay the same,

the enemy will always tremble at mention of His name,

From mountaintops to valleys low, places he has gone,

from tragedies and miracles, yet the man journeyed on.

He did his duties faithful; he had a servant’s heart,

faithful in the little things he did his little part.

So when death was coming to take this man away,

he hoped that he would hear Jesus simply say;

“Thou good and faithful servant, I must say well done.

You will rule with me and your life has just begun."

So into the same arms that brought him out of sin,

those loving arms now welcome him in.

Once was a popper, now royalty, he's child of the King;

forever in heaven always to worship, praise and sing.

But as I come to a close, this story now must end;

yet there is one last message that I promise I would send.

Remember this man, whos' life story I just shared.

Tell it to your family and friends for whom you care.

bread of Life, Almighty in whom you can depend,

the Alpha and Omega, Jehovah Lord of Hosts;

. ~It was Sunday night and the day had been awesome after 3 people received the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was after midnight , I was exhausted and I felt much peace. After listening to the song, Untitled Hymn by Chris Rice, I had thought it would be neat to put a short story behind the song, something that could be combined with the song. But the story poem took on a life of its own and the song soon forgotten. So I sat down at the computer to scribble it out. It was 5:30 that morning that I finally stopped, now to excited to sleep, I sat crying. It wasn’t my writing it was God’s work; I was just honored to get to type it out. ~

In order for the breastplate of righteousness to work, The breastplate was constructed of strips of metal fastened together by leather. This was the standard issue to legionnaires during the reign of Augustus. The piece of equipment weighed 20 to 30 pounds and its design was to protect the vital organs. When the legionnaires shield or sword failed to stop the enemies darts or swords, the breastplate would deflect their weapons.

Righteousness is represented as a breastplate providing essential protection for the most vital organs; the main one being our spiritual heart. The breastplate of righteousness is forged by a combination of the perfect righteousness God imparts to us and our obedience to his commands for righteous living (walking in holiness by forsaking sin). We are to maintain its upkeep in our daily walk.

**Our obedience is important because it proves that our hearts are in agreement with God and that our faith is genuine. We are to understand that IT IS NOT OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, but His.

with the preparation (Preparation: the work or planning involved in making something or somebody ready) of the gospel (good news) of peace;

When we live a righteous life; our vital organs are protected from enemy attack. For example, the Christian who knows the word of God (Sword of the spirit) and has great faith (shield of faith); but lives ungodly, he or she is open to enemy attack, regardless how well the other pieces of equipment are used. That person has put down the breastplate of righteousness; therefore, their vital organs are exposed to attack.
[15] And your feet shod (Shod/dress: to put on clothes (in this case shoes) appropriate for a particular occasion.) -That being a Christian & saving the loss.

The Shoes or sandals of the Roman soldier were no normal footwear. Great care was taken by Rome to supply the soldiers with appropriate footwear for their assignment. Their shoes (or boots) consisted of an elaborately cut and laced sandal of which the sole was layered of metal and leather with ‘hob nail’ spikes extending one-half inch, to in some cases ‘inches,’ from the sole to plant into the ground to keep them from being moved. Some had toe spikes and or built-in spurs with which to do damage to the enemy. The uppers of the sandals were often armored by small overlapping pieces of metal riveted to the leather straps. In addition, attached to the uppers of the sandal were removable metal greaves that extended up over the kneecap protecting the knees, shins and ankles.

**Those spikes on the bottom of these shoes were also useful to stop the soldiers from slipping when they are walking on all kinds of terrain. Now if you STUDY the gospel you are going to know the roots of the gospel - the death (repentence, burial (baptism) & resurrection (receiving the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues). Through preparation or study you will be able to fight and you will have less chance of slipping when the enemy comes against you.**

Before you go somewhere, you have to make preparation to dress and equip yourself for the occasion, climate and terrain. If you are going downtown, are you going to put on your mountain climbing boots, leather shorts, backpack and climbing gear? If you are going into the jungle swamps, do you wear your arctic parka, insulated long underwear and snowshoes? The same kind of preparation is required concerning the gospel. Which shoes do I need? How should I prepare them?

[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, with it you SHALL be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked.

60”x30” rectangular shield made of six layers of thick animal hide specially tanned and woven together making them as tough and durable as metal yet relatively light weight. The leather shields could be soaked in water before battle so that in the event the enemy would rain fiery projectiles on them, the fire would be extinguished on impact.

[17] and take the helmet of salvation (which protects the mind from Satans mind games)

The helmet was the most noticeable piece of armor. It was often ornate, intricately decorated and plumed with brightly dyed feathers or horsehair. Some parade dress helmets had course horsehair plumes that would extend to the waist. The Roman helmet was designed so that blows from sword, hammer or ax could not pierce it but would be deflected and yet allow the soldier maximum visibility.

and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Jesus always spoke the word to fight temptation of the devil and so can we):

The sword of a Roman soldier of that day, was a feared weapon. Short, lightweight and well balanced, it was quick and deadly. The two razor sharpened edges of the broad blade could easily slice a roast. And, the flared and tapered point was designed to easily penetrate and disembowel the enemy. It was well known that if a Roman soldier ever unsheathed his sword -- he would use it.

[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication (a humble and sincere appeal to God who has the power to grant a request) in the Spirit, and watching with all perseverance (steady and continued action or belief, usually over a long period and especially despite difficulties or setbacks) supplication for all saints . . . Also (if you are baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sin Acts 2:38), when you fall, you can plead Jesus' blood and keep going. God does not remember the sins that are under his blood so Satan does not have a leg to stand on. . What does plead mean? This is how you can look at it. . . .God is the judge, you are in his court of law, and Satan is the accuser of your sin or wrong doing. You have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. 1. Offer argument in support of something: You argue a case against Satan in support of yourself in Gods court of law. 2. You use a reason or circumstance to excuse your sin: The waters of baptism (represents the blood that was shed on the cross), excused your sin. . 3. Innocence is declared: You plead NOT GUILTY because there is no evidence (your sins were washed away) in response to a charge or charges in the court of Gods law. . . Phillipians 4:13 . I can do ALL things THROUGH CHRIST which STRENTHENS me.

. Speaking of Diet. . . . .

How blessed I am to have a healthy diet of Holy Ghost anointed rich preaching!!! I thank God for a pastor that is sensitive to Gods voice. Pastor King truly has a link with the Almighty! He is totally in tune with God. Many times I have come across people who ask me to go to their church and check it out but, I am so full from the feast at my house (Gods church) I have no appetite for food from elsewhere.

My diet consists of the following:

anointed worship.
pre-service prayer (to get my spiritual antennas up).
prayerful preaching (sometimes with heaviness and many tears from the burden to reach people).
no omissions of the Bible (even though it might step on toes).
the voices of other men (the five fold ministry).
no compromising teaching.
humbleness to listen to God and be used as a vessel to speak Jesus' heart's desires.
willingness to help us to know the very depths of the Bible.

Now after saying all this I think of where Jesus was talking to his disciples and said in John chapter 6:

[63] It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. . . . .

[67] Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will you also go away?

[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

With the above verses in mind, I can only go where I know that I am hearing all the words of eternal life for they do give me complete nourishment and therefore am very careful about where I go to hear the word of God preached. I know I am not going to be lacking spiritual food if I continue to sit under the feet of pastor King (or a preacher who believes all the truth) as long as he continues to be under the anointing of God and preaches all the Bible. So forgive me if I don't go to other churches. They just won't do it for me although if they preach ONE God, Acts 2:38 salvation, separation and holiness (everything that is required) that is another story.

A SCARY WORD when you think of it as a diet but, if you think of it as a way of eating then it might be easier to fulfill your desire to become a new person physically & emotionally. . .

As I was checking out some stuff on "Windows Live Today", I came across an article on "How to Stop Cheating on Diets" which brought me to another article on controlling cravings. A part of its words I found really helpful to me as I start on my road to getting the pounds off . . .

.8. No deep fried foods (Cut out as much butter/margarine and oils as possible).

.9. Eat less ham/bacon and salty meats (salt causes water retention & high blood pressure).

10. Eat more poultry/fish and legumes (beans and such).

11. Eat lots of foods/drinks that are high in antioxidants such as green tea**, pomegranates, prunes, raisins, blue berries, strawberries, kale, spinach, beets broccoli, brussel sprouts, Avocados, etc. & extra virgin olive oil.** (I just found out on the Internet to stay away from kale if you have thyroid problems.)

Sometimes tests don't even show if your thyroid is functioning properly; therefore, you don't realize that you are lacking iodine in your diet. A lady I know was just told by a doctor to get more iodine in her diet to help her loose weight.

If you have thyroid issues, you might want to get a iodine supplement (have seen it in health food store) or the stuff the doctor prescribes as there is quite of few foods that have negative affects on the thyroid. I went to health food store asking advise and it was suggested to take this herbal formula called "ThyroSense" which has iodine in it along with some other stuff that is good for you. Don't know if you can get this outside of Canada, but am sure there are others similar to this one.

The other day I was talking to someone about some delicious pancakes I made and thought I would share it with some others.

Plain or Healthy Pancakes

Warm large pan on stove at medium heat and place a plate near by while making pancake mix.

Ingredients: flour (white or brown or 1/2 of each), brown sugar, baking powder or soda, salt, oil, eggs, milk/water or 1/2 milk/water & 1/2 yogurt/sour cream.

In a medium bowl dump:......2 cups of white or brown

..............................................2 Tablespoon of b. sugar

..............................................1 Tbsp of baking powder or

..............................................1 Teaspoon of b. soda

..............................................1/2 Tsp of salt

..............................................Stir

..............................................With spoon make a hole in center

..............................................of the above ingredients

Dump in hole:........................2 Tbsp of oil (I prefer liquid coconut

..............................................oil)

..............................................2 eggs

..............................................Stir just the liquid stuff.

add:.......................................1 c. of milk/water and 1 c. of yogurt

..............................................or sour cream

..............................................or use 2 cups of milk/water

..............................................(for fluffy pancakes: add tsp.

..............................................of lemon/vinegar to milk /water)

Stir ONLY until no lumps or they will be full of big holes. If to thick , add a tiny bit more liquid.

Melt enough butter or coconut oil to lightly coat pan then pour batter so they are 1/2 inch apart(approx. 1/2 cup for each one). Cook until holes form on top then turn over and cook until golden brown on bottom. Place on plate until finished cooking.

***I found that these are nice when you add sliced bananas on the pancakes right after you poured and flipped them . Served with syrup.

Dieters: If you don't have or want eggs, put 1/2 tsp more of b. powder . . . no milk, use water and oil can be omitted. **Applesauce with yogurt is nice on your pancakes.

Chunky Apple in Sweet White Sauce for Pancakes:

Ingredients: butter/coconut oil, corn starch/flour, of b. sugar/w. sugar, cinnamon, 2 med apples cut up.

In small pot .......................Melt 2 tbsp of butter/coconut oil at

...........................................med. low heat

Stir in..................................2 Tblsp of corn starch/flour

Slowly stir in.......................1 cup of milk

Add.....................................1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar (according to

............................................taste)

...........................................1 tsp of cinnamon

Keep stirring until thick then add apples and cook for another minute (may need a little more milk if too thick). I recommend you use a whipper to stir the sauce.

Serve pancakes and give to each individual.

P.S. you can replace the milk with water and the apples with 1cup of raisins or with 1/2 cup of raisins & 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or cut up peaches with a sprinkle of cloves instead of cinnamon. Whipping cream is great on the peach sauce.

How do we look at people. . . .

A while back, I was looking for pictures of church buildings for my blog, I came across this sad but truthful writeup on the prejudice that has been going on for years in the USA. Prejudice is an ongoing issue not only there but all over the world including in Canada. We as people need to realize that flesh color is skin deep AND WE ALL HAVE THE SAME COLOR BLOOD. Every person from every nation is human and has the same basic cares as the next person. FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING. . .

AND MOST OF ALL LOVE. If man would see things through Gods eyes, it would not matter what color the flesh was or what country they were from. Mankind just needs to see that if they loved God to the fullest capacity which is through his spirit, these variations would not make any difference on the above skin color etc. Mankind would look at one another as God looks at him. He would only see that person as a soul with a destiny of seperation from Jesus. He would want to redirect him on a path towards Jesus where there is TRUE LOVE. So when we rub shoulders with other races. . .

. I wanted to share a post with you that I have written. God speaks to all of us as long as we will take time to listen. It seems more the rule than the exception that this occurs during the middle of the night for me. I was and still am very honored that Pastor Young read this to the congregation. I believe this with all of my heart. . We live in a world of compromise. A world that celebrates mediocrity. A world that idolizes those that most often deserve our praise least of all. Those that have been blessed with physical capabilities that are beyond what we could ever dream of, blessed with musical talent that astounds us, blessed with the ability to pretend they are someone that they are not, convincing us that who they portray is who they really are. Our world gives them more money than most of us could ever imagine having. Our world holds them in awe and reserves hand claps of praise for them and them alone. They are held up on pedestals and told how wonderful they are. They are given praise and adulation that previously was only given to those that truly made a positive difference in our world. In turn, they believe what they hear and see. They become, in their minds, wonderful and great. They then begin to espouse their political and life views on us. And the carnal world believes what they spew out and gives them credence. No matter how obscene, how misguided, they are given respect. Those people the world has chosen to honor and lift up are often times unfaithful, abusers of alcohol and illegal drugs, blasphemers, and unstable in various ways. I work in a carnal world. One that says that right is wrong and wrong is right. I walk down the isles at work and see displays of our world. Perversity's and aberrations are all around me. They proudly celebrate their homosexuality and lesbianism with rainbows of color. They openly voice their views. They tell me that Socialism and liberalism are the answer. They admonish me for having strong Christian beliefs. They display their peace, let’s all get along at all costs, and let us all coexist. But, they warn me not to openly display my beliefs or voice my opinions. One of the representatives of our union recently stood up in front of a group and encouraged us to be open and honest. This will make you feel better. She then proudly stated, I know it made me feel free and much better when I came out of the closet. Why in the world would she ever think that is something that most of us wanted to hear? We live in a world that once held those that truthfully reported the facts in our world with respect and admiration. A world that now allows not only white lies, but blatant fabrications of what really is happening. We live in a world that allows those that we vote for and elect to spin anything and everything in order to advance their political lives. They tell us what we want to hear and then move on to the next group and tell them the version of the truth they want to hear. Promises are made that they never had any intention of fulfilling. We live in a world that says that what a President does in the Oval Office is at their discretion. After all, it has no effect on how they actually do their job. Really? Immorality, lies, perversions have no reflection of how they are in all aspects of their lives? I grew up being proud to be an American. We stood for the truth. We helped those who were in need. We protected those who could not protect themselves. I cannot believe what I am seeing. Those that least deserve it are now leading us down a road of deception and destruction. We desperately want someone to lead us. To stand up for what is right. To be honest, forthright, true. To say it the way it is. To not listen to their advisors who are telling them what is politically correct. We want someone to stand up and be a true American. I now often find myself crying for our country. I see the things that once were great about our country quickly disintegrating and it breaks my heart. But I thank God we live in a world that is not of this world. We live in a world that does not compromise, that celebrates excellence, and reserves hand claps of praise for Jesus alone. I lived in the carnal world for 55 years of my life. I praised those that entertained me and spent endless hours watching and listening to them. I drank, I smoked, I cursed, but felt that I was still a good guy. After all I had a job and didn’t go around purposely hurting anyone. I wandered aimlessly in life. I always believed that I believed in God, but continued to do as I wished. But, deep in my heart I knew there was always something missing. There was a hole in me that I feared could never be filled. For over a year we were invited to the Rock (Church in Elk Grove California) . For over a year we would always find a reason not to come. Finally we said, ok, we will come, as long as you stop asking us. We drove up to the church. I looked at Robin and said this church is huge. Well, we will go in as promised, and then we won’t be bugged about coming again. But, then we walked in the doors. We were greeted by people that truly cared. It was clear they felt we had value. We walked into the sanctuary and there was a feeling that I could not explain. It just “felt right”. We then kept coming back. We knew that this is where we belonged. It felt and is right. You are leaders that lead. You tell the truth, you do not compromise. You encourage and celebrate excellence. You do not waiver in our beliefs one iota. The things that I find missing in my country’s leaders I find in you. I thank God on a continuous basis for what you stand for. There is never any doubt as to how you live your lives. There is no spinning of the truth or telling us what you think we want to here. If we aren’t doing what we need to be doing you clearly and emphatically tell us what is expected. You make me strong in my beliefs. You make me want to be a better man of God. I no longer have that hole in me. That feeling of emptiness has long been filled. I love you with all of my heart and cherish you. You are truly men and women of God and the epitome of what the bible tells us you should be. I now aspire to no longer compromise, to be anything but mediocre, and to send hand claps of praise to Jesus alone. SELF CPR What are you to do if you have a heart attack while you are alone??(Sent to me in an email from a friend. The article is worth reading, although prayer is the best thing in an emergency).

The Johnson City Medical Center staff actually discovered this and did an in-depth study on it in our ICU. The two individuals that discovered this then did an article on it and had it published and have even had it incorporated into ACLS and CPR classes. It is very true and has and does work. . . It is called cough CPR. A cardiologist says it's the truth:

Let's say it's 6:15pm and you're driving home alone, after an usually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. What can you do? You've been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course didn't tell you what to do if it happened to yourself. Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, this article seemed to be in order.

Without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about very two seconds without let up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

I think this is a very interesting article! It may or may not be true, but it's worth knowing! Of course the best heart attack prevention is to eat healthy foods and exercise daily for 30 minutes, and try to manage stress. I also think that if it happened to me, I'd forget the entire coughing thing---I'd be praying!

Writing Love Letters: Moi Thoughts Blog Site Link

This post I read really made me think and inspires me to get into letter writing!!!

The written word expresses a person soooo much. Thinking about my sweet Mom who passed away a while ago (whom I will never forget) made me think about a recipe card with a recipe in her writing on it. Now that she is gone, this little card is really special to me as it was written by her very own hand!!

Although I have this recipe card showing my Moms beautiful handwriting, which is a taste of her, I don't have letters telling more on what kind of lady she was to pass on to others. (I do have things she made, pictures and memories.)

A letter is something that can touch many people as it is an expression or reflection of that persons thoughts of things happening in his/her life and others.

The post I'm going to share popped up while I was reading a blog on Xanga. Upon reading it, I thought how true. We live in such a virtual society that some have forgotten the thrill of the written word. Have you ever received a card in the mail at just the right time? Did you get that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes just from knowing someone was thinking of you and you didn't even know it!?! Or, while going through the bills, you found a long, juicy letter from a friend? Did you take pleasure in sitting down, tucking your feet up under you, taking a sip of your vanilla chai tea latte and hearing the crinkle of crisp, colorful stationary as you opened the pages of a friend's life?

I remember all of us teenage girls having sleepovers at our youth pastor and his wife's home. He would be gone for the night, and his wife would pull out shoeboxes full of love letters. We would stay up all night as she read us the unfolding story of their love. Being emotional teenager's with stars in our eyes, we would ooohhh and awwww, we would tear up on some, we would roll in the floor screaming with laughter over others and some we would simply do the teenager thing. You know...the old rolling of the eyes with the whole "you've seriously got to be kidding me" facial expressions? I'll never forget, and the memory makes me smile every time I think of it. :)

I love letters! Someday, when my handsome prince comes, hopefully he'll be into love letters and cards. He'll be getting some from me. =) Text message, email, facebook messages, etc.... just doesn't quite have the same feel (although, I do love hearing from my friends even in those ways).

Just knowing that someone took the time, to sit down and write me to tell me about their life, or how special I am, or simply shared with me how wonderful life is, is such a wonderful feeling. It brings a smile to my face. In addition, I think about all of the love letters from God to me, and I'm so thankful for his written Word! I'm so glad that God doesn't try to take care of all our business with a quick text here, or an impersonal email there. Not to say technology isn't nice! I love it! However, I still love writing my friends, sending them a card, surprising them with a gift. Yes, even far away. Guess that is one of my love languages, and I hope it never changes! =)

Enjoy reading this and maybe you can relate just a little. It is somewhat nostalgic and took me on a journey back to Apostolic Faith Academy. Oh, how many notes we slipped under those wonderful dividers. Silly stuff, gooey stuff, prankster stuff, fun stuff, kind stuff and even stuff like, yes, "Do you love me? Check yes or no!" It's almost like a sweet savour that brings back a precious recollection. ~

What Happened to Writing Love Letters? by: datingish

What happened to writing letters? When I was in middle school and high school, that's what we used to do. Passing notes was an art form with all the little ways you could fold it and the doodles across the page. We didn't have cell phones with text messaging and Blackberry e-mails or even Facebook and MySpace. Boyfriends and girlfriends would write each other letters, as would friends and admirers. I used to love getting letters at school in between classes... or even during class. To see in writing how someone felt about you was amazing. This warm feeling would wash over you and a smile spread across your lips. You couldn't help it, but you didn't want to.

Now, we get short text messages written in that unfeeling cell phone font sent thoughtlessly through the airwaves to a cold device in our back pockets. It's not personal anymore. I guess we all got lazy and stopped writing things out. Details get lost, feelings get passed over, you can't send sincerity, passion or sarcasm through a text message. It's all about the way it's physically written. It's about the thought, time and effort put into a letter that makes it so special and makes the person receiving it feel special.

SPRINKLES ON A CAKE: Link to online cake decorating course

The other day as I was looking out the window. . . . I saw the sun penetrating through the clouds as the earth was being dusted with snow.

It reminded me of cake decorating being done by God. He says "Calgary's needing a little decor added to the ground where the sun has dried up alot of the now dirty old snow. Sooo I'll sprinkle it with some nice sparkly sprinkles that someone can get a smile on there face on a perhaps depressing day 'cause of some bad news they received.

I must keep the sun shining though to get through those gloomy clouds (as someone may take them). Maybe I can help them to be positive. Maybe I can add some sparkles to their lives knowing that I am there for them, even in the sad times.

LOWERING THE BOOM

I feel like penning my soul through tips of dust. I love the Lord Jesus,

with all that I am. No matter the stance I take. He is confidence to stand. No matter the apple I eat, no matter that fruit I bear. All is for nothing, but not to despair. I live in the Ghost, that emphatically reaches. I toast in His roast, as He shows me He cares. What takes the cake as redundant a phrase, is that God is still God and my trust is in praise. I have come so far,

in a matter of weeks. i stand beside Jesus' Rocks are my feet. I take on a new name. in Him I can stand, because only in Jesus will I find no holes in my hands. The water cannot slip through, the cracks that aren't there and I cannot slip through when my cross i do bear. How beautiful the sandals that are strapped to those feet as i bend down to wash, and say, "God's given His oil to me." It takes nothing to say, I can do it all. It takes everything I am to crumble at Master's call. So amazing as I pen, exactly what It Is. How much I do not know, but how much He sees this. The fingers type faster

than anything I know, but despite what I am feeling; I know in Him it is all.

I can take all that I am

and put it down in a rhyme, or I can take all that He is and never find the time. To explain, to exclaim, to live Holy, to live true, to live in peace and righteousness, to give all through and through! to try, to try! to live, tis to try! tis nothing, but everything! to find Spirit in the cry. As intercession is made supplication for saints, don't fall back now. Don't give up in haste. Dont be quick to shed the innocent blood of your family; to be quick to sow discord amongst all the brethren in Calgary. What is it, oh Lord, that finds us disunified?. What is it, Oh Lord, that makes us the mis-guide? Is it prayer? Is it worship? Is it the lack there of? Is it deception? Is it lies? Is it the lack of love? Questions, Oh questions; that pelt the soul, as stray bullets find homes in the midst of my skull! Oh God, I dont see what misunderstanding, misconstrued. Why does the Christian have to be so confused? As the devils pack up. As the wolves smell the blood. As a shark is on line. As the lioness finds the cub. Taking the weak is going through me. In Him I can stand as strong as He wills me to be! It is not the devil I am worried about. It is not his devices. The devil is only as strong as you allow him to speak for your mindset. The struggle is your mind. The struggle is in me, the dog that i am. The beast that's in need. The deception is my own. The thoughts are alone. The devil only questions and rises to bare a tone. Trust is the key and brokenness is a steward. It's the only thing that will lead us, a broken heart mended with True Word. Loving water begins to flow, as the mend of the mind takes on a new meaning; as trivial as time. Take one second to ponder. Two seconds to drink... Three seconds to long until we are all on the brink. We realize

that as quick as fingers do type, that as long as you're reading your enjoying the hype. What is it about prayer that finds us renewed? What is about God that keeps us so glued? So in tune, so in tune, so in tune, as the music of my soul sings all in mid bloom. Time to grow! Time to sow! Time to reap! Time to keep! Grow in Him! Sow the grim! Reap the harvest! BEING COMPLETE

Hi there everyone.

Today I've been thinking about what being complete is. . . .

Strongs Concordance: To express the final and entire attainment of what is treated, leaving nothing beyond to be desired or hoped for. Encarta Dictionary: Whole: having every necessary part or everything that is wanted. What good is it, if a man shall gain the world as a whole, and lose his own soul? Absolute: Being the greatest degree of something. Jesus, our absolute, shows us the complete degree, of what we can be. Perfect: Having all the necessary qualities or abilities for a particular role. God will perfect our qualities/abilities to do his desired role, to be true witnesses as our goal. Successfully caught: Football in football, used to describe a forward pass that has been successfully caught. The Ball (his truth) is in our hand, what shall we do with it in this land? Finished: Having reached the normal or expected end. The race is finished, we’re at the end; we've been reprieved, a crown we've received!

Transitive Verb: To make something whole by including every necessary part or everything that is wanted. Speaking the truth, may we grow up in all things for Jesus Christ (who is the head of our whole body) connected and interweaved together by what every relationship gives, offers and provides; according to the effective work of all parts of the body doing its share, causing growth through encouragement, inspiration and stirring itself to good works. To finish something or bring it to an end. We have power over sin because of his sacrifice and victory over Satan . . . . And on the cross Jesus said, ”it is done;” we have won!!! (Read Acts 2:38) To carry out or accomplish something. It is now up to us through his spirit and the truth of his word to carry out what Jesus began, which is to reach our fellow man.

Starting with our soul. . . . we can reach our goal . . . . .one at a time!!!

Taking Buses: History of Calgary Transit Link

Hi folks!!! Today will be little warmer out than it has been.

Hallelujah!

Thank God that I can say a Chinook is coming!!!

But, when its cold, ......how do we deal with it?. . . .

Myself, I find it sometimes hard to get out and about. I take transit you know. But, I guess it is how you look at it. First of all, THOSE WONDERFUL buses don't need warming up!!!! You have a whole variety of people to make contact with. You get your exercise (if you leave at the last moment) running to catch the bus. You could look at them as a fleet of SSSStretch Limos with uniformed drivers you get to ride in who will open the door (at the front) for you. Ha Ha On those cold days (during rush hour) CT riders believe in togetherness literally (when its packed)!!! You get to test out the quality of your winter gear. You appreciate warm weather more. You get lots of fresh air waiting for the bus. You meet people. You don't have to worry about mechanics, insurance or fueling up (just buying your monthly bus pass, tickets or paying with your change). You don't need makeup because the cold makes your cheeks rosie. You speed walk lots. You have time to read/meditate on the bus. You can't stay out to late cuz the bus stops running. Is there anything else I never thought of????

Speaking of taking buses. . . .for those who use my form of transportation. . . .Route numbers: 4/5, 20 , 72/73 , and the 414 will take you to the most awesome church in this city called TRUTH CHURCH (615 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta ***403-282-0238)

Service times are: SUNDAYS: 10:30 A.M. & 6:30 P.M MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS: 7:30 P.M.
